Since moving into their newly built home 10 years ago, this family’s home was ready for some updating and expansion. The family room and breakfast nook were in need of some new threads and a splash of color. With a little redesign we brought these rooms back to life. Using coordinating fabrics in cobalt blue we designed classic wool flannel draperies for the family room and paired them with custom made fun fabric pillows. In the breakfast nook we paired a striped rug with custom made Ikat fabric Roman shades and recovered the dining chairs with a small-scale geometric print. The pattern mix brought the excitement — the cobalt blue was the punch!

As the family had grown up, it was time to finish the basement. The space was to be sports centered with a TV viewing area, pool table and a bar with seating. Included was a workout room and bathroom. As the focal point, the full service bar was comprised of custom made cabinetry, a granite countertop, and a stacked stone backdrop with shelving. The black leather swivel barstools were the finishing touch and highlighted the artisan craftsmanship that defines the space.
